cs.sticker places CS2 stickers on a mesh. each finish gets its own material: paper, glitter, holo, foil, gold, lenticular, embroidered. it targets Blender 5.2 and stays compatible back to 4.5. the panel lives in the 3D viewport sidebar, tab CS Sticker.
what you do with it
- search the library by name, collection, finish or tag, and preview the texture with its maps.
- place interactively: the sticker follows the mouse over the surface. wheel rotates, shift makes that finer, ctrl and wheel scales, F toggles upright, left click places, shift and left click places and continues, right click or escape cancels.
- spawn onto the selected mesh, at the point closest to the 3D cursor.
- or drop a plane with the modifier stack at the cursor and place it by hand.
- the active sticker can be rotated, scaled and retargeted, and its wear, holo strength and the other material parameters sit on the same panel.
how it sits on the mesh
each sticker is a plane with subdivision set to simple, then a shrinkwrap in project mode, then a clip. it is attached with a parent or a child-of constraint. the plane hovers just above the surface and projects inward, so it lands on the outside: over plates and levers, not under them. parts that would hang past the edge are hidden, and so are the steep walls of a step the sticker is pulled across.
size is relative by default, 6.5 percent of the target's longest side, which matches CS2 stickers on rifles whether the scene is in meters or in source units. switch to absolute when you want a fixed width. the offset is a percentage of the sticker width, and reset to defaults puts the placement settings back.
finishes
every finish is a node group driving a principled BSDF, with the same wear inputs and alpha clip. wear works per sticker, the way it does in CS2: a wear mask decides which areas scrape off first, background before the logo. a sticker without a mask uses seeded noise instead, and each sticker gets its own wear seed.
- paper: a matte print, with an optional clear coat.
- glitter: flakes in the mask tilt the normal.
- holo: the mask picks a colour from the spectrum and shifts it with the viewing angle.
- foil and gold: metallic, embossed from the normal map. gold can take a tint.
- lenticular: the image flips with the viewing angle.
- embroidered: fabric with sheen and a thread relief.
the mapping follows the CS2 sticker material. valve does not document that shader, so the node setups are approximations of it.
download
two zips. the GitHub release is the addon with one demo sticker per finish. the other zip is cs_sticker-1.3.0, the same addon including all sticker assets.
install from disk under Edit, Preferences, Get Extensions, or drop the
zip onto the Blender window. valve's sticker textures are not part of
the GitHub release. to build a library from your own CS2 installation,
the repository includes tools/export_cs2_stickers.py. point
the addon's user sticker folder at the result, or use the zip that
already includes the assets.
